High quality work and good value for money." 1st Landscaping Solutions have carried out the maintainence around our property in Garrabost since the inception of the company and we have found them to be conscientious and trustworthy. Living in the south of England we are dependant on having regular unsupervised maintainence carried out and whenever we return to our house in Garrabost the area around the property is always immaculate. This summer, 1st Landscaping Solutions made new paths and a patio around our house. This involved about 8 cube of concrete! You can imagine how concerned I was about getting in and out of the house as well as the upheaval. John and his men were thorough and professional – they made sure we always had access to the house and all upheaval was kept at a minimum. They cleared up as they went and left a superb path and a patio which has made a huge difference to our home. We are very pleased with the result. When looking for a company to look after our property as we are resident in the islands of Orkney , i was a bit apprehensive , we contacted 1st Landscaping and after our initial meeting we allowed them to take on the maintenance contract . Its now 2 years later and i have nothing but admiration in the way John and his team have carried out there operations , the work is of the highest quality, completed on time, and most importantly is that 1st Landscapings understands the need of the client and is always at hand when needed.
We have had the privilege of employing 1st Landscaping Solutions on several jobs during the restoration of a group of traditional blackhouse buildings. They came in as sub-contractors to the builders, casting the concrete floor slabs, no mean feat, as they required to be constructed at different levels and incorporate old stone drains. Their standard of work and their whole approach to it led to us employing them directly on a range of other works on site; fencing, stonework pointing, path building and landscaping. Under the direction of manager , John Don, they have produced work to a high standard quickly and efficiently. Mr. Don’s cheerful approach, “can-do” attitude and consultation on matters of detail were refreshing and reassuring, and we always turn to 1st Landscaping Solutions for work of this kind. We would recommend then to everyone as hard working, and trustworthy. It is never a problem for John and his men to competently handle any job. He is unfailingly dependable, considerate and helpful. Mr. Leach worked through the worst of spring weather taking down the ruins of, and rebuilding a group of traditional blackhouse buildings on our croft, including a rounded-end byre with exterior steps set into the wall and an internal in-wall shelf. His skill and sensitive use of stone - a most unforgiving material – is second to none. His cheerfulness in the face of adverse weather, mud to the knees and difficult conditions was exemplary. We feel very lucky to have had Mr. leach on site; he worked very hard, quickly and felt his way into the job in a perceptive way. He is entirely trustworthy. We would not hesitate to recommend him. I contracted "1stlandscaping" to clear, landscape and add the necessary drainage, of the land around my new build home, and then to grass the resulting area. I have been very pleased with the outcome, and impressed by the hard work and conscientious application to detail.
